Easter Bunny Gable Gift Boxes (Lori Whitlock Designs)

I always like creating things for the people I work with especially during the holidays. Easter is coming up soon and I have been seeing a lot of inspiration around the internet. So I decided to search for my next project. I came across the Easter Bunny Gable Gift Box on Lori Whitlock’s Blog/Shop and decided to try my hand at creating one. As soon as I clicked on her site, I instantly fell in love with her designs. So much so, I purchased and downloded a few more items which I’ll demonstrate in the near future. I’m new to the paper crafting scene and have been coming across a lot of neat blogs, shops etc. So back to this box!! I have never done a favor box before and thought this would be great to gift.

I was surprised at how user friendly her file was. It came with 2 options; a pdf and a SVG file (cut file). I uploaded the SVG file into Cricut Design Space. I didn’t have to resize it because it was already scaled to how big I wanted it.  I was so proud of how the first one turned out, I began creating the rest and wanted to create some for my husband’s coworkers too. That’s when I realized I ran out of the cardstock used for the box. Unfortunately, the store I get the paper from only had 4 sheets left :(.  That was a sad day. I was able to create only 9 boxes. Bummer!! I am still in search of another print that will suffice.  Hopefully, I will find an alternate before Easter!!

After cutting out all of the pieces, I assembled them. First the box, then the bunny, and finally the “Happy Easter” sentiment. After the boxes were assembled, I stuffed them with Biodegradable Easter Grass (who knew they made biodegradable grass!) and individually wrapped chocolates. I then sealed it with bakers twine that I’ve had for like a year that matched the sentiment accent papers. Viola!! The finished product….

These boxes are too stinkin’ cute and I am so happy I found them. I’m sure my coworkers will be “hoppy” to receive these!!
